What is a content calendar?#
A simple table (even in a spreadsheet or a phone note) that says: which day, what content, where, and for what goal. Its purpose is to stop you asking "what should I post today?" every morning.
What does it contain?#
- Publishing date and time
- Platform: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and so on.
- Format: post, Reel, Story, live stream.
- Topic and idea
- Goal: education, attracting an audience, sales.
- Status: idea, in production, ready, published.
Example#
A language school: Monday a grammar tip, Wednesday a pronunciation video, Thursday an introduction to a new class, Friday student feedback. The same cycle repeats every week, and the audience knows what to expect.
Benefits#
- Regular publishing, without last-minute pressure.
- A balance between educational, entertaining and sales content.
- Getting ready for occasions such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
- Easier teamwork for the manager, designer and editor.
A few tips#
Write a monthly plan but stay flexible. If a topic suddenly trends, you can change the plan. Review post results every month and drop weak ideas.
