Legora is a shared AI workspace for lawyers and legal teams. Instead of each person working with the AI in a separate session, the team works in one shared space and does document review, research and drafting there. One of its signature features is tabular review: you provide a folder of contracts, and each document becomes a row while each question becomes a column.

What is Legora good for?#

  • Bulk contract review: you scan hundreds of contracts as a table with the same questions (for example, the termination clause).
  • Legal research: you search for and summarize a legal question.
  • Drafting inside Word: a lawyer proposes, edits and compares text without leaving Word.
  • Repeatable workflows: common firm tasks, such as a standard contract review, run as a fixed template.
  • Client collaboration: the Portal section is for sharing matters and working with clients and external counsel.

Strengths and weaknesses#

Strengths:

  • Simultaneous team work with comments, tasks and notifications.
  • Tabular review for large volumes of documents.
  • Works inside Word and common firm tools.
  • Tools for working with clients.

Weaknesses:

  • There is no free version or personal plan.
  • Persian and Iranian law are not covered.
  • A lawyer must review the output.
  • The company is relatively young and features change quickly.

Free version and pricing#

Legora is an enterprise product with no public pricing. Contact sales through the official site for terms; a demo may be available.

Language support and access#

Persian is not supported. We are not sure about access from Iran, and since sales are to organizations, it requires a contract with the company.

Legora alternatives#

  • Harvey: a legal platform for large firms, with agents and enterprise workflows.
  • CoCounsel: Thomson Reuters' assistant, connected to Westlaw sources.
  • Claude: a general assistant for summarizing and drafting that needs careful review for legal work.
